National Honor Society Induction
Woodland, CA - October 26, 2016 – Twenty students from Woodland Christian High School (WCS) were inducted into the prestigious National Honor Society (NHS).
Justin Smith, Administrator for WCS, read a speech on leadership by Lisa Pielstick. Smith said, “Lisa’s words are just as true and powerful today as they were when she was with us as principal of this school. These students who are being inducted tonight have the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community.”
NHS was established in 1921 for the purpose of promoting scholarship, service, leadership, and character within students. Students who receive membership into NHS must possess a high academic standard, personal integrity, leadership, and a track record of community service. Members of NHS have the opportunity to attend conferences and programs that will enhance their leadership skills.
This year’s inductees are: Stella Bailey, Ashley Bucher, Lauren Coulter, Faith Dennie, Samantha Griffin, Chloe Hamman, Joseph Hargadon, Abigail Leon, Haiyun Luo, Shelby MacLaughlin, Tori Mealor, Ryn Miramontes, Isaac Naschke, Amaya Pires, Lydia Stephens, Kassidy Talbot, Megan Trottier, Jonathon Wiekin, Hannah Wiesner, and Eric Wyatt.
